ABOUT US
AK Mobile Dental provides dental examinations, cleanings, and palliative care in the comfort and convenience of your home. For many Anchorage folk, it can be difficult to physically get out of the home and to the dentist.
Tooth pain often requires multiple visits, first a diagnostic visit, then a visit for treatment. By having a dental examination completed in your home, we can save you a trip to the dentist.
After receiving your dental examination, all information (X-rays, photos, diagnostic testing) is emailed to you. You can then provide your dentist or specialist with your records and schedule treatment. This way, you can have your tooth pain addressed on your initial visit to your dentist.
AK Mobile Dental also provides maintenance cleanings (dental prophylaxis), palliative and emergency dental care, and prescriptions when necessary.
Brian Choi, DDS is a dentist at Aurora Family Dentistry, located in Midtown Anchorage. He graduated from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry and has been practicing in Anchorage since 2018. He is dedicated to providing quality care and has seen patients in their own home, at their senior living facility, and in assisted living homes, including those in hospice or memory care.

Comprehensive Exam ($399)
Includes X-rays (full series), photos, clinical examination, nerve testing (if needed), and a thorough discussion of different treatment options.
Prescriptions
We can provide a prescription as needed.
Prophylaxis ($199)
Dental cleaning in your home. Includes hand-scale, polish, and more.
*We can set up a consistent maintenance schedule for your cleanings
Travel ($25)
Applies to homes north of Tudor Rd. or east of Elmore Rd.

1. Do you take insurance?
We do not accept or bill any insurance. All services are considered fee-for-service, and you are billed for a mobile visit and time spent.
2. What does a typical visit look like?
We will perform the examination in the comfort of your home. It would be ideal to have a sofa or chair where you can recline. We begin by taking X-rays and intraoral photos. Then a clinical examination and nerve testing (if needed) is completed. We will discuss findings, diagnosis, health complications, and treatment recommendations.
3. I have another tooth I would like to have
looked at. How much would that cost?
Each additional problematic tooth is $25. A limited exam will be performed for the tooth.
4. Do you provide referrals?
Yes, a referral can be provided. Common referrals include the endodontist (root canal specialist) and oral surgeon.
5. Do you provide prescriptions?
Yes. If a prescription is provided, you can have it filled at your desired pharmacy.
6. How do I receive my records?
All records (summary of visit, X-rays, intraoral photos) are emailed to you by the end of the next day.
7. How do I pay?
We accept cash and credit/debit card. We do not accept checks. Payment is due upon completion of the appointment.
8. How do I get the most out of this service?
Our goal is to provide you a thorough exam, pain relief, and save you a visit to the dentist. After receiving your records, call your dentist and email them your records. Ask your dentist to take a look, and hopefully you can be scheduled for treatment without an initial visit for diagnosis.
If you are in pain or have an infection, an antibiotic prescription can be helpful in mitigating the pain until you are able to get in to your dentist. If you need to have a tooth extracted, a referral and records can be sent to the oral surgeon.
